The Monroeville Foundation has a goal of raising $5000 that will go directly for the support of those people and organizations in our community impacted by the Coronavirus.
The Monroeville Foundation is sponsoring a blood drive on November 16. At this special blood drive, you can help the Garden City Food Pantry. Vitalant, our local blood bank, will donate $5 to Garden City Food Pantry for all who donate blood at our 11/16/20 blood drive. Garden City Food Pantry provides meals to families in need in the Monroeville area. Please sign up to donate blood and you will also help a local food pantry. Due to the Coronavirus and Pennsylvania’s guidelines of wearing face masks, social distancing, etc. the Monroeville Foundation has decided to cancel Monroeville Jazz Festival.
The Monroeville Foundation assists the municipality of Monroeville by offering residents and businesses an opportunity to create their own legacy by purchasing naming rights to specific sections of the Monroeville Community park, to make donations to support our ongoing projects and to sponsor one of our fundraising events. No amount is too small. Your community is worth your investment.
In 2014, The Monroeville Foundation teamed up with the Monroeville Animal Shelter and is dedicated to assisting the shelter with its fundraising needs.
One of the initial projects of the Monroeville Foundation was to provide a mechanism for naming rights to accompany the new Monroeville Community Park West. Persons or businesses on a can have a space or facility named after them and have their own historical landmark of in Monroeville.
For years, the Monroeville Foundation granted funding for a master botanical gardener to provide the spectacular arrangement of annuals that is a vibrant section of horticulture at the Community Park West.

Thanks to its founder, Chuck Summerville, the annual Monroeville Jazz Festival has become a part of the Monroeville cultural community. Due to Chuck’s retirement, the Monroeville Foundation will assume the role that Mr. Summerville performed so well for so many years, that of producing and facilitating this wonderful event. Anna met with Pat Sinback, the director, and her husband, Tim, who work hard to keep the food pantry running and supporting the Monroeville Community and residents. With the help of a number of volunteers and local businesses, the food pantry served 223 families in Monroeville, regardless of faith, in 2017.
