The Tubby Daniels Band consists of five members: Tubby Daniels on the vibraphone, Dennis Gardner on drums, Chuck Anderson on bass, and Victor Garzotto on piano and features Anita Levels as lead vocalist.
Tubby is a Pittsburgh-residing vibraphonist who began his musical journey studying the piano under Dr. James Johnson at the Afro-American Music Institute; he soon switched to the vibraphone and the rest is history.
Now a veteran performer of 30 years, Daniels enjoys listening to various styles of music but refers to jazz as his first love.
Anita Levels is a self-taught vocal artist, songwriter, and producer who began singing at the age of 3 years old in Frankfurt, West Germany. Being a preacher’s kid and a member of a musical family from New Orleans, the arts were in her blood.
In 2001, she toured the country of Holland as the director and founder of the then Carlow College Gospel choir, "Blessed". She followed that by releasing her debut CD Restoring the Soul in 2006. Her other accomplishments include being a finalist of the talent show Gospel Dream, and an appearance in the NFL Super bowl 50 commercial.
She has attained her Master's Degree in Training and Development and believes that music should evoke an atmosphere of love, recreation, healing, and thought.
