Brian E. Edwards, born in Pittsburgh, PA, grew up immersed in the city’s rich jazz tradition. He began drumming at age three and studied under Roger Humphries at Pittsburgh CAPA. Edwards continued his education at Duquesne University, where he honed his craft and earned a reputation as a standout player, performing with local legends like Kenny Blake and Dwayne Dolphin. After graduating, he embarked on an international career, touring Europe and Japan, and performing at prestigious venues such as Wembley Arena and Royal Albert Hall.
A prolific drummer, composer, producer, and educator, Edwards has recorded with artists like Jesse Johnson and D'Angelo, and released solo albums including The Theoretical Journey and Wanderlust. Edwards continues to be a sought-after performer and teacher, known for his visionary approach to music.
